About There seems to be a fundamental problem with this sport. All the guys I watched concentrated their attention on the kite, not on where they were going. This is not the case with other kite powered sports, as far as I am aware (at least, not with kite surfing). Also, I would say one of those rear tyres is mounted the wrong way round. Any comments? Oh, I mean on the picture, of course...

Amazing photo, great the """car""" that is also very unique...as the way that thing moved using the wind, great shot, interesting sport and so a very nice photo.

~~GRIN~~ AJ... We have them here also... Can't help but be fascinated, but at the same time complete *Lunatics* for the exact reason you said... They have absolutely no sense of where, in the geographic space, they're situated...:)

Great shot, you have the movement with the sand/dirt and cables, body angle... A mad monkey/bear on the front fork LOL, bet it's eyes are shut... Great DoF...

Laughing at Jan's comment about the tyre... My husband would have seen that also...:))) so understand why he's scared...)))

Extra nice Sir...:)))

Onie... Hope you had a lovely Easter...:) and love the kites shot in your reply...

Thanks for your comment, Jan. I found the whole concept pretty scary, and kept well out of the way as this guy came hurtling towards me, staring straight into the sky! These kites (which of course you can't see in the picture...) virtually launch themselves and speed is controlled via their position relative to the wind. They are similar, if not identical, to those used for kite surfing.

AJ -- I always knew that you had an eye for detail but noticing the reversed tread direction on one tire is going too darn far!!!!
That is kind of scary. :)
Is this for real? People flying kites from dune buggies? I suppose that one could get up a pretty good speed to launch the kite then slow or stop to control it?
Good photo that captures the moment.
--Regards, Jan
