Hi Nel, no I don't use a tripod for my macro's, but always try and make sure I brace the camera well and use as high a shutter speed as the need for depth of field will allow. I try and shoot on calm days,and of course I only post the best, too!

Thanks, Dave! Your "Damsel Fly" and other macros are exceptional. I notice that you use a Fuji Finepix S5000 - not sure how it differs from my S9500, but it seems as if your sharpness is much better than mine. Do you use a tripod?
