No it isn't Peter. The region with geothermal activity and thermal powerstation is the region of Larderello. Lajatico is in the north of the Volterra's region while Larderello in the south one. You can see the Google maps. Bye

This theatre is a magic place and I want to go there alone because the previous time I went there with some friends photoamateur. Lajatico is less than 30km far from Volterra. In the background of the theatre of silence we can see Volterra. Thanks for the comments

I would too, it looks quite devine up there .. Lajatico, did not known we were about 50km from there last year on holidays... but ok, one cannot visit everything, i know ;-)
