Hi Ralf: I see that I didn't comment on this before, but I really must now as it was the inspiration for the image I uploaded today. Having been playing with wood screws for days, your image made something click in my head, and in just 5 minutes I'd got the shot I was after. Thanks and cheers - and by the way, yours is awesome!

This is a really cool shot, Ralf. To me, more than a forest, the spires remind me more of some of the enormous apartment buildings in Hong Kong.

a very good concept on how to approach this material to photograph, i like the pattern and the absract approach. There is an element of mystery and the lighting has much to do with it.
