surprisingly, my film eos fared quite well. never had to keep batteries in gloves as was the case with sigma sd10. as for video equipment it had stayed outdoors al the time (in a wooden shed at night) except the batteries on recharge. we routinely packed 2 batteries for the hd video camera. 2 units normally had been enough.

man at that temperature the batteries must die fairly fast.....guess you need to keep a spare in your pocket.

Freezing all right it was..lol
Had my right toe almost amputated upon home return. Hobbled like a lame duck for couple weeks. Had thought it was a blister at first.
The locals are fantastic woodsmen.

Oh, that must have been such a fascinating and also very freezing experience. Worth the cold I“m sure! The cold is very visible in this photo, and the situation with the camera, the patient man and the lines made of nature makes the photo very appealing.

musr be really very cold, I can feel the chill and the wind is visible too. I like the texture seen on the fresh snow, ooooh, chilling here jst looking at it..
