The look in their eyes stops at you, as if that is as big as their world will ever be...
The boys body language is tight and unsure... You are in there world, why is what they seem to be asking...

Excellent with the high key as though the sun is blazing. very fitting with grain. Looks like the image was taken 1910...except for the clothes of course. I like this a lot.

A fine documentary style, Leo. I like their uncomfortables poses, it's obvious they don't have their photograph taken too often and adds to the authenticity of the image. Perhaps a little too harsh on the contrast for me but I accept that others like it and it may have been difficult to overcome as the sunlight certainly looks strong and direct.

I actually like the shadows cast from the dried meat (however I must say I did think they were mud laden bikinis originally - how's that for MY way of thinking!!!)...3 pieces of dry meat hanging in suspense in the air while 3 portraits of solemn little boys creating an air of suspense below....very dramatic, very connotative...excellent photo..just like the rest of your portfolio. You rock!

In a way, similar to the Diane Arbus style we were talking about. Not easy to look at, and at the same time we can't turn away from the image.

Photo with impact Leonardo! Made me think of the old photographs made in the early 1900's when the subjects had to stand still and expressionless for the photo to be taken. Lovely tones - a classic shot of tragic circumstances!

No words as you said Leo. Your shot speaks alone. One can feel what they lives and the life that they have. I like the contrast and the tones you used which emphasize the impression of poverty that one can feel from their clothes but also from the expression of their faces. The way you captured them are perfect on this bright wall allowing to contrast their faces and to ditinguish their eyes.
Just one small regret, the shadows that disturb a little bit the eye, and lead to the "lost" of the real expression of the third child, but it was impossible for you to do without.
This is a really beautiful shot, perfect for this project.
