Hi AJM,
You have probably thought of this, photograph the wall seperately, invert the image and merge with the Giraffe pic.
You have a very good gallery of shots...

Dear AJ, PTS means PhoToShop..I know what you mean..you also have to take care of animal reflection..maybe if you incease zoom to max it would be much easier and you if take brush diameter smaller..you could try..and when you finish with stamp tool you can use healing brush tool..so you won't have sharp cross-fade..

Hi Maja: many thanks for your suggestion. I'm not sure what PTS is, but there is an excellent clone tool in PSP9 also. However, I'm not sure that this would help with the particular problem of replacing the reflection in the water - it would need to be applied without overlapping the surrounding grass (tricky!) and would need to incorporate water ripples (even tricker!)
Incidentally, I used the PSP9 clone tool on the rocky wall in the background - you should be able to spot it if you look carefully!

Dear AJ..in PTS you have clone stamp tool.it looks like stamp...so, you put your mouse on the place that you would like to copy and press alt..than you put your mouse on the place on which you would like to have that texture..the good thing is that when you move mouse to make a new copy it also move the place from which you took texture..so it won't copy only one but entire background..

Very humorous, AJ. Definitely a shot worth messing around with. As for your query about reflecting the wall, I would say that copying the wall and pasting it over the water area, then dropping its opacity along with touch up erasing might work.

I love it as it is. you have perfect relection of the legs and face, including the nostril---IMO, I think a "great" reflection of the wall would detract from the shot......Beautiful the way it is.

Ah, if only it were so simple, Meg! But you see those little bits of grass sticking up, and the ripples, not to mention the reflection of the legs... Then there's the angle adjustment! Nothing I've tried so far has looked at all convincing. I'm sure I've read a work-flow somewhere but don't seem to be able to trace it now. But I'll crack it eventually...

You could do a selection on the water (in sections to avoid the legs) and then clone the wall onto it, make sure you select the feather edge option so that it looks realistic. :)

Good rescue job, A.J. Looks good as it is. Maybe if you put a copy of the wall (after putting a rippling effect on it) under the puddle using layers and then erased the water around the Giraffes reflection? A bit fiddly, I know, but it might work. Cheers, Ann.
