Well done combination. I'm fairly certain that Manuel was not referring to a Gaussian blur. A slight blur along the edge would lose the slight halo around the rocks which seems most visible around the yellowed sun area but it's a minor issue. Probably a superior way to deal with that would be an approximately 2 pixel feather before combining the two shots. I have a shot in my San Francisco portfolio called "The Rock" which also has combined two shots . . . one being the sky. There I used a 2 pixel feather to prevent the dreaded halo effect and it worked nicely. Pretty much trial and error . . . sometimes you need more feathering . . . seldom (in my case never) . . . less. This is done quite nicely.

Season's Best,
Doyle I <~~~~~

I'm with Shirley John, so, not going to tell where the blur tool is :)...

This is beautiful... The tones are magic as is the composition... Don't touch a thing... IMHO that is... :)

Very nice landscape... I like the way you merged the 2 shots to achieve a surreal light effect on the landscape.
Great stuff...

All the best,

Rod

This is just wonderful, John, and don't know why you would want to 'blur' anything here.

Thanks for your feed back Manuel. What is the 'blur tool'. Do you mean using rhe gaussian blur? Thanks for your comments. John

I think it's great, the tones and super nice. I do however recommend you try to blur the edges of the land(rocks) a little so they don't seem so obvious one layer over the other. U can use the blur tool and just pass over the edges once:) (that's what i do sometimes;).
Great work. Congrats
Season's Greetings
Manuel
