Hi Doyle,

Thanks for your kind critique.
This shot was taken in late o5, the tree stump Emma took is gone. The tree you see in my photo is the only one left at the side of the loch and i am further to the left about 3 or 4 hundred metres. If you make it to Scotland it is well worth the long walk in and you are surrounded by hundreds of red deer and if lucky golden eagles.

Kind Regards
Douglas

Ahhhhhh! I see the BG mountains DO line up . . . it's the position and that MUST be the same tree! So all that's unknown is when was this shot? :)

Interesting and beautiful shot . . . of a remote place. I realize that the image wass heavily post processed . . . you admit as much on another sit (mentioned by Jan). Emma Taylor took a shot from nearly the exact same spot in 2oo2 and the tree had been heavily damaged by gales. The post processing doesn't concern me . . . it still looks great . . . but I'm curious when this shot was taken. Also . . .did you by chance add some to the distant range as they don't seem to line up . . . or are such changes due to the minor positional change? Fascinating image and very curious as to what's up.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Douglas-- this same photo is at:
http://www.treklens.com/gallery/Europe/United_Kingdom/photo164641.htm in a larger size.
There you said you used a Nikon D70. I am not a Nikon user- is that the same as the model(s) stated above?

Hi Arie,

The moon was taken on the isle of Mull in Scotland, then placed in position.
Thanks for your kind words.
