No problem, Peter. We all miss this and that constantly. Today I even missed to work! ;-)
Thabnks a lot for the explanation. Well, unfortunately such effects that occur naturally, do not give us the time that we need. Nature against photographers! ;-)
All the best,
Nick

Nick, Sorry i missed your earlier comments on the shot. I understand you point and unfortunately this was a one time shot that didn't allow me to make many adjustments. The effect only lasted for a few seconds. Some correction might enhance the shot and I will look at it again.

A very good opportunistic shot Peter! This one deserves a lot more exposure on the site. Also it is not often we see the Royal York from an angle like this. Andre

I was looking at this one for a long time, Peter. Interesting idea, I must say. The thing is that the title suggests something that I do not really see here, and so I am in the conflict of suggestive thinking against real image.
The image itself is simply too weak for "lake fog" and too strong in other ways that do not have to do much with fog.
So considering the image itself and just forgeting the title for a few moments, it doesn't really manage to enhance the dramatic moment. A smaller focal length and a bit of correction some EV down might have helped.
Best wishes and keep it up,
Nick
