Hi Tim, thanks for all of your comments. I am actually a fan of black and white too, but I try to do a bit of variety as some people prefer colour! I usually do a version of both and see which looks best as some scenes do lend themselves to colour :0) Thanks again

Very nice. Dramatic composition and good B&W conversion. (I seem to be hung up on the B&W thing, don't I?...I actually am not color blind, but I think you've got a great eye for the tones and composition of a scene, so the B&W's jump out at me.)

Thanks so much. It was a bit of a lucky shot really as I didn;t go out intending to take photos and this magnificent piece of driftwood was just sitting there begging to be photographed. I only had my little compact camera on me, so am quite pleased with the rsults, but think I'll have to go back there with my nikon at a less sunny part of the day and take some more shots. Thanks again :0)
