But - having been getting up at 4:00am every morning for over a decade . . . at 6:00 AM I have already done more than most US Marines do all day! (Ok, that's MY side of the story . . . still trying to find one that agrees!) Still . . . anything disturbing me before that . . . Not so cool . . . Even if it's Mozart!!!! :)

hey doyle... well, honestly, ANYTHING even the most beautiful chirps when sounded long enough, could be annoying at 6 in the morning on a weekend! haha, I did usually love there cute chirps (that's why we named one "Merp" because we loved it's cute little chirps that sounded like the word 'merp') but it bugged me when i was trying to sleep! I know I already commented, but wanted to respond anyway! again, nice little bird portrait! :)

Oh the zebra finches... I love them, especially the males with those beautiful cheeks!! I used to have 2 a boy and a girl, and they had a baby together! Their names were Merp, Terp, and Tangifro, oh I miss them and their annoying chirps at the first hint of sun in the morning!! This is a great shot of this one, good coloring, and I like the DOF. The clarity and light is also great! Nice work! :)

Thanks Radmila . . . Hmmmmmmm . . . never considered the BG as zebra-like but you're right! Really it's just his cage bars . . . hence jailbird (our slang for criminal prisoners who used to be required to wear black and white horizontal striped uniforms). Clearly there's more than one way to present this . . . I like the zebra BG idea! :)

Thanks Mary . . . sometimes the bars are a good thing. For example . . . this little guy has NEVER had to flee in sheer terror for his life from a predatory bird . . . and gets free food and shelter. Uhhhhh . . . could be worse! :)
