I also love taking photos of still life, it has so many different ways to describe it... Really nice, this one!

This is beautiful. Wonderful composition with interesting shapes and textures. Very nice. (Yes, we have pheasants, but I'm not a hunter/fisher. I compete in cycling events in Sr. games and such. The only hunting I do is with a camera.)

an excellent black and white...I think you could crop just a bit more off the bottom...your lighting is excellent with the light from the windows hiting the stone...

This picture reminds me of my grandfather who used to have such grindstones. Excellent work with light and shadows. I like that you let the window be little blurry, it adds more impact to the light coming in.

Emotional appeal 7! Great subject. The lighting is very good so the exposure. (dificult I think because the camesa can easily make long exposure so the window could be overexposed in auto mode) but you handle it nicely!

A very nice piece indeed. I'm not exactly sure I like the window frame being out of focus, but thats a small nit, and down to personal taste. Good work on the lighting and composition.

Wonderful tones here, Robert. I always love windowlight, especially when the photographer knows enough to leave the dark parts dark. The composition's simple but effective, I think, and I especially like the tiny bit of diagonal you've gotten with the floorboards. Nicely seen, and very nicely done.
