whoa, i just learnt so much about you within this one post.
btw Habib is my alias, it's a direct contradiction to my native nationality and religion, needless to say, i love every religion and culture.
i would love to tag along one day for one of these shoots, there's so much i need to learn within the photographic world. theres only a few of the guys we know who have continued writing because of the crackdown as of late on graffiti artists by the police. my friend has hundreds of photos and sketches from around the way.
don't worry, i hate the city also, i have no real interests down there.
Hi Habib. Thank you. I appreciate brilliant writers/artists and happen to be "affiliated" with a few myself... lol...:)
When I go for outdoor street location shoots, (quite often for band promos/CD covers, and other modeling or acting portfolio images etc), I know many places to use as "backdrops". I find them to be brilliant, and also whenever I am out just out and about, I love "discovering" new ones. I will consider photographing only the walls, or details therof... without people in the images, though I basically feel more comfortable with the intense interaction with people... that stirs my passion as a photographic "portrait artist". I look forward to showing my sons and their friends, who are also very talented in this type of writing/art(however mostly reserved for the designing of intricate amazing tattoos unless commissioned otherwise... One son designs some of the BEST tattoos I have ever seen. He is so precise!! A friend who used to live a few houses from us had a lot to do with commissioned art in Belgrave and the surrounds, though I haven't been there for awhile and it might have been pianted over by now, sadly...)
And well... yes, it seems we live rather close! So we both know our way around the 'burbs and the hills and the "big smoke" well enough... (not that I like the big smoke... I choose to be a hermit as much as possible hidng on my mountain...)
i am affiliated with the BEST writers in Melbourne. these PIECES are none of ours, just a few that i happened to capture that particular day. i can point you in the right direction if you ever want to pursue that interest. ;)
I often have models posing against backdrops such as "your" well captured artist painted walls... you are inspiring me to fish out old works and also to go and shoot more! :)
