About This shot is from 2 weeks ago when the weather temperature shot down to -20C degrees -4F degrees for you Americans. The Vermilion lake froze quickly without any snow, an unusual event which I thought would be a good thing to record, as well as view the photographic possibilities. Unfortunately we got there late in the day and didn't get time to get a more sunny version. The moon was out as well but having just a wide angle lens with me at the time I couldn't take advantage of that to any great degree.
There is a mild temperature hot spring just to my right and that makes for interesting ice leads and compositions as the winter progresses.
