I agree with the others: the expression is perfect and and surrounding black helps both to concentrate focus on the baby and to help you title of 'Shelter' - the baby's sheltered from the blank darkness by the circling arms.

This is a fantastic shot. The baby's expression is priceless. It looks so determined, yet at the same time so frail. Although with an embrace like that, how could anyone not feel secure.
