Thanks for the reply. No, unfortunately I'm stuck in L.A. but hope to retire to the Sierras or in Arizona somewhere within the next 5 years. Take care.

Laurie,

Been looking through your gallery. You're doing wonderful things. I looked at your profile and went to the web site listed but it didn't work. You're from Northern Ca aren't you, if I remember correctly?

Thank You, Laurie and yes Yosemite is really great. I've also posted here an 12 minute exposure from Valley View under a full moon.

Been a while since we've talked. How are you?

Well if you really wanted to move the moon Al, a little PS would do it quite easily but I would be quite happy leaving it were you found it. Very pleasing image, congrats on the BIP.

I really like this shot. The long light is just beautiful and the silhouette adds the human touch. Nice work indeed.

This surely is a peaceful scene. The contrast between the rugged terrain and the gentle light from the setting Sun is grand. Such a marvelous vantage point to watch the full Moon rising at Sunset. Beautiful. Congratulations on BIP.

Al I think this shot is amazing and what a great place to be. Too bad people are distracted by something they really shouldn't be. The picture is very nicely balanced and broken into thirds throughout. Amazing work!

I agree with the couple of comments above that it would have been better if the moon was not center in the image. But I neither had the space or the ability to move Half dome, the Moon nor the Rock

Excelent Color And Composition
But The Moon Is Too Centered
I Would Try Too Move More To The Left Next Time
Good Shot

I'd be tempted to either crop this in a little tighter, or burn down both of the bottom corners, or both. Also, it might have helped if you could have repositioned yourself so as not to have the moon almost bullseyed in the frame, just to balance off the person, but I of course understand this may not have been physically possible. It's a nice scene, though. Nice shot.
