About For close-up work I use 60 mm lens plus ext. rings. It turnes out to be real close to the subject. Some "animals" don't mind, others fly away. But a bumblebee is too proud to flee. He prefers to stand on his "hinder legs" and frighten me off. Or he just lazily raises one his front ones and tries to wave me away
