B&W images have sometimes this special retro look, that makes memories seem to lie years ago. Like on this image, which somehow manages to bring the days of summer and the games on the beach into mind. A bit of melancholy of a sweet picture from the times when today was so long.
A very nice composition here, Annemette! The playinf children on the front make the picture feeling very "alive", while the balance is achieved by the two persons in the back, of which the one is looking at the happenings in the front - the centre of the subject, and the other somewhere out of the picture, making clear that this is but a small frame of the whole scene of the beach.
The positions of the persons are such that this photo has also that distinct feeling of a wide angle photo, which makes it even more remarkable.
For my eyes the water has a bit too little texture. But on the other hand, this very fact contributes to the sunny feeling of the memory that lies back in the past.
