I guess you should be used to that sort of thing!...haha...I have found that it is often like that around Banff, if you wait ten minutes all will be different.
By the way the Mountain in the back ground is Inglismaldie.

Fantastic! Thought the photo was magnificent & then I read your about!!! Excellent & thoroughly enjoyable.
This photo is incredible.. the saturation, the DOF.. the rocks.. the water... the rainbow... all so clear & perfect... this is an award winner through & through.
Saw it quite by accident on the home page & had to stay up that little bit longer to comment here.
This is absolutely gorgeous & I feel a good omen for your marraige :) I'd go as far as saying it is one of the best photos I've ever come across on here so of course have to award top marks & say at this point that it should win awards across the board... two just is not enough x

Many thanks everybody for your kind comments, and to the site editors for my awards. I REALLY appreciate these comments so much.
To answer some questions, I focused on the nearby rocks.
Yes, I was very happy to catch the rainbow, it is pretty much the first rainbow I have caught. But other than that I just thought I had captured another shot that I was pleased with. I certainly didnt think this shot was my best from the trip, and yet its amassed alot of attention, so I guess I will be hard pressed to beat it with my next upload. But I will try ;-)

I can bet you are thrilled that you stuck it out. Your reward for your persistance was this beauty. And such a beauty it is! Those stones, first on shore then under water, draw me right in to the lovely calm water with its grand reflections. The lighting in the sky and on the hills is grand and the rainbow is such a marvelous addition. That must have been like finding a great prize in the Cracker Jack box. Superb.
