we were trying to determine what they were today ... we have concluded they are sun spots of some sort.
it's funny when you actually buy something how much your perspective changes; just today i was at a shopping centre and i happened to be presented with an abundance of advertising material, i was disgusted to see half assed attempts at photography with such expensive cameras, the original photos were clearly horrible and the post production was even worse! so when it comes down to the crunch, others may have better cameras and lenses, but are absolutely clueless when it comes to overall fidelity.
so in conclusion -
the initial photo accounts for 60% of the final presentation.
so that's why i said what i had said in the "about" section of this photograph.
i am quite happy with the 400D, except for the cheap lenses .... but that will change shortly.
it's good to hear you're still alive btw!

Congrats on the purchase btw. The differences are seen in the print Michael. But for what you shoot, you made the right choice.
