About These are digital, and printed paper images tacked to the cieling of this popular fishing camp store. The quality is not so good of each tiny frame, but the total effect I hope is visible and shows the idea of how many salmon have been caught and posted on this stores cieling.
I do hope you like this.
I appreciate all comments always.

Hello Michele,

Excellent and original idea. I like this view. The fact that there are some articles seen in the lower front adds and brings depth into the image.
Well seen and done.

Greetz and see you my friend,
Albert

Hi Michele. Thanks for your visit to my pictures and your kind comments.
Where we are in ther summer, we fish for lake trout. They are a lot larger than speckles. My biggest one was 11.5 pounds. That was a chore, but a lot of fun. In the laast few years, we mostly catch and release. We just keep what we want to eat right away. However, as I said, there has not been time for fishing. Other things have intervened and demanded time. Take good care,
AMry

I LOve trout... I don't get it up here much... the bigger fish seem to be much more popular. I know in the creeks we do have trout , but I only like to eat them, and pretend to fish... don't like the hook removal part !( hang out with a pole in the water ) ha !
Thank You for the kind comment and your time to view my images MAry ! I do appreciate it , but I know your time is limited...
Happy Week-end ,
Michele~

That's a great idea for the store ceiling. I've not gone salmon fishing, but I have caught my share of lkae trout. This summer, there was not much time for fishing. I didn't even get out for a boat ride. Oh well, that's give me something to look lorward to next summer. Neat shot.

Yes... the trophies are BIG fish caught here on the Siletz river.... this is taken in a fish camp store and posted on the ceiling so the clarity is a bit off.
thank you for looking and commenting always Alicia

Hi Doyle,

Glad you found this entertaining ... It apparently caught some attention ... hey Paul thought it was records, another thought it was a mosiac, many different things from thumbnails are very hard to tell what the heck they are... Well about posting them on the ceiling is
'It's a Fishing Camp' in Salmon country Oregon . . .???? Why not ...? > the store is not so big and there were maybe 200 shots up there...on the ceiling... 2 other shots I took I blew with a flash....( bummer!)

Maybe saying a fishing camp is not enough...it's RV's , trailers , and tents, a small time fishing camp so the store doesn't have so much space ( packed with 100's of fishermen & families)))) but nothing fancy ... at all anywhere , any place. No kidding ....

Best Wishes ,
Michele~

Hi Marco ,

Guess what altho it's mostly men in the photo's it's also women who catch these salmon...so it's not all macho stuff... not here anyway.
Personally I don't like the part of the fish dying ... I will save you the ugly ways it's done... but as far as sitting on the river , holding a pole, and then after they have died, I am into all the rest... I love salmon , fillets, cakes, bbq'd, broiled, ahhh I feel like 'Forst Gumps' buddy who just wanted his own Shrimp boat.... ha!

I do understand your feelings.... If I had to go out alone I wouldn't go fishing ....
I did that ONE time and never again !!!!

Hello Robert,

Thank You so much for your encouraging comments and interest of the salmon fishermen...( and women). You are very smart this is a paradise for fishermen, they come from far away and the salamon are really very protected by laws as to their size, the season, and a license to catch them... altho I honestly have seen them jump into a boat one time... they get lice on their scales and makes them itchy so they jump! When there are many boats sometimes it can't be helped... I am not kidding !

I am glad You enjoyed it as I enjoy your traditions ....

Best wishes,
Michele~

Hi Annemette , so happy You like this image.
I can't wait for a bigger better lens... it would show soo much more... anyway .... Yes, mostly it is men getting their photo's taken , and some with their kids, but lots of women do fish and work as a team with their men ( mates) ... The largest fish I think I mentioned that was 51 lbs. and I wish the image I'd taken would've turned out good enough to post as it's a young kid, and his Dad... I will add it ... it's a bit of a bum angle, you'll see but just to get an idea, the fish is bigger than the kid ! It's sooo cute ! { remember it is on the ceiling so forgive the poor image quality and all}

Take Care,
Michele~

What a fun image Michele . . . I thought it was a stack of action figures at a toy store . . . (wonder what the psychiatrists will say about that?) . . . but detail and clarity aren't essential in this and the shot is fun and entertaining! I can't get over this posting them on the ceiling idea!
:)

great tradition. being close to nature is ofcourse a wonderful thing. I never got the chance to fishing myself, and i doubt if i will like it. and seeing these men being so proud of a fish, got me thinking about these macho tradition. but, salmon is the only fish i really like eating.

What a great image, Michele!! Itīs so much fun looking at all the proud men and their big salmons - they probably feel like real hunters
:-))I canīt spot any women except for maybe two unless they are feminine men! Itīs fun fishing, but maybe women donīt feel like getting their photo taken?!
Best wishes,
Annemette

Thank You Andy.... I should have guessed that but when you are so familiar with an area ...you don't think of it the way you might have at first, plus it was named after a rock...but I get the idea...

More interior ... well okie doke... later this week I can do that too... Thank you for your interest. I appreciate your time very much... ( as well as clearing up the music confusion on my part)

Best wishes,
Michele~

Hey girl!
Nice too hear from you........Yeah when I saw the thumbnail I saw all the images and they kinda looked like reconds on the wall.......(get it)?

Hi Paul,

Thank You for your kind comment... I am a bit confused... but this is normal for me..
What made you think of a record store ? I haven't been to one obviously forever so I wasn't sure how it was the same effect...
?? just images all over the walls maybe ?

Are you still on vacation ?

Best Wishes,
Michele~

Marco , Marco ... I can't blame you for your thoughts of wonder and possible doubt BUT I guarantee it is not the same men with the same fish... This is a tradition I have been aware of for 15 yrs. and each day the catch and wieght are posted... The fishing camp and others who are interested all watch ! Ha !! I sware..... It gets crazy here during salmon season, hunting season ...It feeds families for all winter !
My x-husband was a fisherman and we lived on salmon for several winters!!!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment and to share it with me !

nice image, great insight in this type of culture... i wonder if it isn't the same salmon at every picture and these men being very proud on the picture, when not even caught the fish them selves in the first place.

Hi Michele... I think it's a cool capture. I never saw photos tacked onto a ceiling before. Very cool. The thumbnail looks like a mosaic.. I like that.
