I love the crop to this excellent informal portrait my dear friend and the tilt to body and head. I love too the gentle expression upon his face and the twinkle to his eyes. Beautifully converted into these superb mono tones. He plays the music of my long time favourite sounds Dave....I discovered trad and New Orleans jazz before rock n roll and I still possess so many wonderful examples of it. All the very best.....Ray:)

An excellent character study Dave!
His eyes are very expressive, and his hands have been captured nicely. I think it is always a good thing to try and get a person's hands in a character shot like this. A person's hands can tell an awful lot about them. This shot is a perfect example of that.

Excellent portrait of what sounds like a very talented man with a colorful life in jazz... I liked reading the 'about' section..
I like the light, the mix of peace, pleasure and contentment in this mans eyes...Like he is so comfortable and at home so to say.
Strange as this may sound I also like his hands... I think this is a very good image, but did find more words to discribe the emotion than your work...
BUT.... to capture this emotion is also your work and I think it is great...7+++++
