You have succeeded in greating a mysterious mood in these woods, Giuseppe! I like the three types of light that you have captured - foreground, background and shade.) The shadows are open enough to suit my taste.

Thanks Ursula. I am happy that you like this picture. It is unusual so I am not sure how it will be received. The dark between the opposite lighted corners is important for me to increase the mysterious mood of the forest.
I am always glad to read your coments.
Gute Nacht Ursula.

Painted by light...I like the bright areas, maybe would make less contrast, but thats only me. I think it was intentionally, the strong contrast, but thats a personal taste :)
Cheers,Ursula

Thanks for your attention Roland. The grainy aspect is due to the 400 ISO (much for the D2X Nikon) joined to the opening of the shadow, a bit too dark.
I am glad that you like the picture.
Salue.

Andrezej, you know that at dawn with a clear sky the mountain shows stark shadows and lights. I only increased this contrast exposing spot on the highest light ang giving +1 EV for avoiding total black shadows.
Thank very much for your interest. I am glad that you like the photo.
Take care.

Ciao Giuseppe, una luce magica..bellissimo questo scatto dal fitto del bosco..i rami colpiti dalla luce del sole che filtra dall'alto brillano di colore..davvero una bella atmosfera, ben colta..

Nice study of the forest charm - deep darkened areas and colorful islands of vibrant lights and colors - all great, I'm only wondering whether the grain in darker parts is your intendent component or it's artifact of processing the RAW, or this is just texture of the forest brushwood floor. Cheers, NJ

WOW! EXCELLENT! I really love this picture!! The light is perfectly caught. How did you manage to make this grainy effect? Have you pushed the ISO to 3200? This choice really "makes" the picture so SPECIAL and NICE. I also like the dark diagonal separating the two zones with different colors. I am wondering what would be the result on paper, without any rear-lighting...
Again VERY GOOD!
