Cool house Kes.... I* can feel some emotional attatchment here ... just because it's so isolated and original ...small town kind of thing :)
Plus *** It's got a LOT of character !
I've also got a cat with simular markings as yours in this picture ...'tuxedo' cat ...
Mine is 'Willie' he's in my portfolio too !

Wow I love this one Kes, it's got such a great mood and your title makes a huge impact...wonderful old nostalgic mood and the cat is the icing on the cake, someone lives theres, it's home. Great tones, light and composition, really well done. The image in the comment section is beautiful, what a peaceful place to be, it's a shame they tore it down, so good you have these images to remember it by...memorable image...:) Linda

An excellent monochromatic study and how odd that we both were rummaging around our oddment boxes my friend. I have very little from my past due to big changes in my life and the desire to travel light. I have sooooooooo many regrets about this.
I love the layout of the composition, it's balance is great and the inclusion of the cat looking on feigning interest in your activities is wonderful. What a wonderful colourful attachment as well with great detail and interest. Well done Kodak and well done you Kes. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray:)

You have definitely got to do a series on this house. Your scanner is doing fine job. This seems to me to be a very well balanced, well exposed negative.

Hi Larry, Thanks a lot, I think the cat really makes the shot.
I bought the D80, body, and ordered the 18-200VR lens...waiting....waiting...bought an 19-55 refab on ebay for $100....bought a SD card yesterday...
...so finally ready! Just as I grabbed my camera to catch the morning sun my little boy came walking down the hallway rubbing his eyes....
