Hi Chris, Partly due to the photographs by people such as yourself, my husband and I paid the deposit on a trip to Canada next year. I got sick of photographing pimples and trying to make them look like mountains-thought I might check out what a real mountain feels like, and a glacier or two while they still exist. But its a whole year away-can't wait! CC.

Hi Chris, Just sayin' hello. It has snowed all day here today and I was really hoping for a photo opportunity, but it didn't settle, the rain has washed it away. (The drought broke!) I was reminded of the blizzard shots you posted and got to thinking about your work, so I had another look. I have claimed this image as mine so I'm using it for another hello. Hope all's well on your side of the planet. CC

Well, Chris, I'll try to do it, but you'll have to wait till mid November when the colours make a statement around here.(And if my husband is out of hospital and able to move by that time!Difficult times ahead!) Best regards, Gabriela

So sorry, Chris, I cannot make such a promise this year. Family problems will keep me away from the great outdoors. But I'll be watching yours with great delight!!! Best regards, Gabriela

Giuseppe, I am delighted you enjoyed such a shot though I suspect fall in Italy is anything but a hardship :) Soon I will have no flowers or even leaves within trees to take pictures.....All you see from me for six months is winter snow!

Gabriela, Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons but alas the most fleeting. I shall try and capture some more but already the winds are quickly stripping the trees and there is a heavy frost each night. You must promise some fall shots from Japan.......

Wonderful Chris! It is fall in Italy too but we can't see such sights. Birches are few and not so beautiful. I feel happy looking at your image. Take care.

Dario, Thank you for your interest, I was delighted with your comment about it seeming more like a painting, wonderful. I am a fan of your work so I am glad you enjoyed this.

Cathy, The calm before the storm, this land will soon be covered with snow and will remain so until April. The reflection in the river is striking as this is the only time of year the river is ever so sedate. I look forward to seeing more of your country via your camera lens.......but don't make me wait six months!

I like a lot this shot..all this kind of colors and the reflections in the water are wonderful..nice use of the DOF,in the part more far it seems a painting!I just think the yellow tree near in the centre is disturbing (and covering other reflections)..but is a little thing and this is a great landscape..congratulations! Chris, thankyou very much for sharing this beautiful landscape with me, it is very much like the countryside where I live, but I will have to wait 6 months to prove it to you. You have unknowingly set me a challenge, to get my landscape work up to scratch by autumn. What I like most about this photograph is that the sky is represented by the shiny relection in the middle of the image. CC
