I like this shot a lot! I currently bought a horizon Camera on e-bay and I am waiting to get it. I was reading that it is better to use with a tripod, could you tell me if it is an easy camera to operated?, if you have a moment I would love to hear from you! Dirk.

Hi Thilo, I considered purchasing a Horizon in the past. I however am saving for a Hassie Xpan instead... stitching digi images has it advantages, however whereas action shots are concerned (such as sailing)it is not visable.
For this photo perhaps having a greater DOF with the focal point on the closet flower could improve. The out of focus flowers seem to distract me.
The clouds look good, except for the blown-out area on the right hand side.
Overall the image is pleasing, and probalby more a test of your new equipment than anything. I think overall you need more interest in the foreground and varying positions of interest near and far, or atleast horizontally for this sort of pano image.
Cheers, Chris

love the widescreen view.... the colors are very strong..I wish that some of the flowers were facing the camera. The clouds definitely capture most of the attention..... good experiment, look forward to more

Hi Roger,
great to hear from the master of panos =)
Well you're right with the tripod. The Horizon isn't also very good in standard crystal clear and crispy landscapes. It's more of a fun cam to play around.
This was my first picture, and there is more experimental stuff to come.
have a great WE, Thilo

I have just parted with my own swing-lens camera (a Widelux) because a friend wanted it and I haven't been using it much recently. They are a lot of fun, aren't they! Beware that they are much more sensitive to camera shake than ordinary cameras. You may want to use a unipod... and will probably notice the difference if you do.

Hi Andre,
focus is a bit tricky with the horizon as it's fixed. I will upload some more shots.
Great to see you again!

Hi Lori,
thanks for the feedback. Well, the Horizon does a lot of things very good, but the sharpness is not the killer feature =)

Hi Thilo, Nice to see you back again! I have been around, but my posting quota is down quite a bit lately too. This image definitely fits the format. I like the way that the sunflowers are facing in a direction not usually photographed. I'm not quite sure I like the choice of focus. Maybe it takes some getting used to. Andre

VERY nice (I haven't been around a lot either)
This is so interesting, you certainly can tell where the sun comes up. I like that the flowers are facing the other way, and the sky is fantastic!
Could be a bit sharper.....
Good one, Lori :)
ps...having fun with the new cam, looks GOOD!
