Look like opium poppies,the smell coming off them is quite intoxicating!Cheaper than using a stocking,have you ever tried just breathing over the lense,it produces a very nice soft effect too.

Dear Shirley! The soft pastel beauty of this image makes my soul swoon! Fabulous my friend! A wonderful artsitic rendition of one of my favourite flowers... the poppy! I like your make shift diffuser. Good for you. Use what's available and experiment. Such fun and amazing what effects you can come up with! I also like to use whatever is at hand just for "fun" and interest. :)

These soft flower photos are fantastic... really do love them & would never even have thought about using nylon over the camera lens for a result... bless.. so much to learn!
Maybe before I get to carried away with inspiration from these shots I should enquire what I should NOT & never even attempt to stick over a lens!!!! he he he x ;)

This is sweet Shirley, I like the little drops of water on the petals of the flower to the left, and even though it is soft, there is still a lot of detail retained, very pretty shot.
