Thank you very much! Yes, cold and deserted places does indeed bring about the possibility for much thinking not being disturbed by noises other than the sound of the wind, cracking of ice, a bird and such that don“t disturb the ears.

Hi Annemette, realy enjoyed browsing through your portfolio, stunning pictures, but my favourite was, well this one. I can feel the cold and gives me a sense of calm and quiet.(Thinking time!) :-)

Wow! That's how the simplest forms are enough for composing excellet photos, of which this is a very food example. Escpecially the gradual transition from earth to heaven that makes the horizon physically unvisible, thus tranfering it somewhere far away in fantasy in this almost B&W photo, makes it very atmospheric.

Yes, I live a two minutes walk from the fjord, and this is what it looked like this winter. I hope it won“t be so cold for so long in the coming season.
It differs a lot. Sometimes we have very rainy winters, and sometimes we“ve very cold snowy, icy winters like this one.
Isn“t it like this in Oregon, too??

You are making me chilly ! This is definitely a peaceful image... and at first I also could see it being sand, instead of snow... maybe I need a cup of coffee !
So this is Denmark in the winter time .... Yowza !!!!!! I'd be an ice cube for sure !!

This is a beautiful image, perfect for black and white, and does give me some sense of the cold. For me, though, it works better with the sky cropped out, concentrating more on the grass and snow.
