Thank you Francisco, I had a reason that green color is good background for floral pictures. Usualy it is green from leaves, here it is green from glass. Specially I thought that green (color of relaxation) in bright tones is good for this project! Oil! Hm... Maybe I'll try to do it with some bigger flowers, this micro tulips are very small, also oil would not be good in combination with glass. In any way, thank you for idea, I didn't think of "flower-make-up" earlier! Greetings R...
The mood and colours of this image are captivating. A lovely soft compostion, which the title fits well. Yes, the flower/s appear to be sleepy, in a dreamlike state, otherwise perhaps I would have preferred to see a slightly sharper main point of focus flower bud, rather than POF being more on the stem/s.
I enjoy your use of reflective surfaces to give extra atmosphere and a gorgeous background to this simple, yet effective shot.
I have studied this lovely image and can see even see a nice cropping option to make it into a panaroma. A little could be cropped from the bottom, and more from the top. Much can be done with this image, but it is fine as it is.
Also, I do believe PS has its place, but so often, as in this case, there is no need for it. Letting the imagination run wild and using whatever is at hand at the time is creative. There are plenty of PS artists around that are exceptional in what they do, so I cannot agree with Francisco to leave PS plugins and filters to those without imagination and resourcefulnes. It is an entirely different artform, and when used well, is is indeed an artform! When not used well, then it is not art, but a mess.
Here, in your image, I agree, you have no need for PS. Simplicity is the key, and I congratulate you on this fine work, which to me fits well into the peace and tranquility project. It most certainly makes me feel peaceful!
Warmest wishes, Aniko :) (Someone who uses whatever method to achieve results... many are straight in camera shots, whereas others, I enjoy PS for.) Please don't be put off by PS. It is a tool for good artists! And indeed they require both imagination and skill to use those tools; just as a painter needs physical tools, such as paint, brushes etc, PS tools work much the same way in the hands of a true creative artist. :) Perhaps one day you would like to give it a test run, if you have not done so already. :)
However, we are looking at this particular image you have created without PS, and it is simple, peaceful, photographic art. Well done.
OK, you put it in the CC... I think that the white balance is a bit off. I understand perfectly well the challenges of your macro approach, I think that one way to enhance the appearance of the flowers is to put some make-up on them. I would experiment oiling the outside of the buds for better contrast and a little bit of shine. Maybe, water would work better.
