About I got this shot 1 month ago in Arrastradero Nature Preserve.
At least 10 WTK were hunting in this protected area.
Most of them were juveniles.
That morning I witnessed a Red-tailed Hawk caring one of these guys.
Unfortunately the light was bad and the pictures did not come out as expected.
That day I was wearing my camouflage net and this kite came very close for an inspection.

I don't know how I missed this but I'm sure glad I found it, it's beautiful. Also I read your profile for the first time tonight. I knew I liked you because of your willingness to help other photographers with less talent than you. Now I find out your a Vet. You not only capture the beauty of Nature but you work hard at making sure none of it suffers. Like I said I thought a lot of you before learning of your profession, now I have a whole new reason to give you my respect and my thanks.
PS. congrats for your well deserved BIP. You sure were over due!!!

This is a great image. I love the angle and the use of the lighting over the subject. Very clever actions to get such a shot.
