The Eastern State Pen is a busy tourist place. At any time there are many people wandering throughout the corridors.
I have a few shots (some already posted) that are timed exposures, where people walked into the frame during the exposure.
This is one of those images. It was shot with my Ricoh GR (point and shoot). It's an 8 megapixel camera that works just great. I used a tripod and because this was an overcast day, was shooting about 20 - 30 second exposures.
A little girl walked by me and peeked in the cell just as the exposure was recording, and then she quickly ran off to rejoin her family.
The remnant of that deviation was captured on the camera, leaving a ghostly curious child peering into an abandoned cell.
The camera only goes up to F8 and the exposure time was approximately 20 seconds. BW conversion and unsharp mask in PS only.
Is there anything you can't shoot with? You make that point and shoot, walk the walk and talk the talk... I must check it out. I didn't even know Ricoh still made cameras. I used to have one 35mm SLR...
