My 35 is a Minolta. But they sold out to Sony (aka, the devil) and so I'm switching back to Canon. I'll get a film body too so I can have fun all around.

Holy cow, James: Thank you for all the kind remarks heaped upon my little birds and such. Actually, my best selling image was shot with my old D60 four years ago. I do love the 1D series though and find it much easier to get the shots with it.

Ah Doyle: You found out my secret. Actually, there was a crab spider inside who was refusing to release our little friend from its grip. A faster shutter would have entailed a higher ISO or a darker background with more noise. If I can get back before they depart the area, I will try it for a few shots at higher ISO. I was using AV and had it set at f/8 so the shutter speed varied. The flash does most of the work anyway.

Ok . . . but putting superglue inside the flower is just plain mean!
Just kidding you Fred!! This is just an amazing capture and one to be very proud of. I think it might have been even more amazing with a faster shutter speed . . . but who knows? It's a great shot as it is!
