About MARK you mentioned his wrinkles last time which I hadn't seen. You are so right. So if it was my horse I would give it to you like it or not!!

Beautiful picture Mary ! I was not really sure if this was a person's face, or 'who's face in the small version...It could go either way >> which is pretty cool and makes for an interesting abstract , full of tenderness in the eyes ... It's so very unique and soft.
Lovely Mary,
Soo nicely done.
The Best to You ,Michele~

Another beautiful horse face detail, Mary. The strong contrast and highlights adds quite some realiy. In the thumbnail I saw a weathered human face and it takes me a moment to resolve the horse face in the enlarged version. It does have a human character.

Your want belive this, but when I first looked at this picture I though it was a man but I see it is a horse now, you said you didn't know why he was aboiding you, well maybe he didn't want his picture taken, ha,ha,. I love the angle of the picture, it is sharp, with great detail and clarity, excellent job. Mary I want to thank you for your sweet comment.

Mary Slade   {K:40338} 8/20/2006
I don't ride horses either Mark! Just paint myself on them! Much safer! Certainly don't like heights that have you closed in- like planes- yuc!! And if SUV is high vehicles I see exactly what you mean! Anyhow, glad I got the horse and his wrinkles. I expect he'll be after mine next with his camera! Thanks Mark.

Mark Sherman   {K:15669} 8/20/2006
now this is starting to feel a lot like a human portrait of a horse's face. The lines above the eye, the way the hair even parts. A sense of concentration coming from him. Like it a lot. Reminds me of an older man with what almost feels like a slight receding hair line.

Thanks Mary, but I've never even ridden one.

Come to think of it maybe that's why I don't like SUV's the being up high thing.

Mary Slade   {K:40338} 8/20/2006
Thanks Annemette. I am very lucky this horse is not afraid of cameras in its face!! You are not wrong- what eyelashes- and no mascara on him....I checked!! (We seem to be on doggies and horsies now!!)

Thanks so much Mohammad. You are so right- I find proper pictures much harder than messing with them! Getting the horse still when I had to put my little camera nearly on its nose was fun...but hard to me!

Paul you ain't wrong- he does look sad! Never saw it at the time. Probably didn't like the camera on his mush! I am not used to doing proper pictures - next time I will paint a smile!! Thanks so much Paul as always.

Mary Slade   {K:40338} 8/20/2006
Thanks Sue- I was very lucky to find this one again. How to get them to keep still is so hard! Especially as I have to practically put my little cammera on its mush! I'll be watching for your geegees now! If they remind you of me, it might be as they look like me you know!!

Dear Mary
This red horse down the road is so beautiful and calm. I love the angle that makes it more expressive and fascinating to watch. I´m glad it hasn´t developed a taste for your hair yet:-))
The horse might have wrinkles, but it also has eyelashes that many women would die for:-)))
Sweet portrait, Mary.
Best wishes on a sunday,
Annemette

Nice shot Mary,
it looks so simple but when I think about it I see it must be hard to find shot, watching a big horse and find some where to play with texture and lights all over hairs is not so simple I think, abstracts!
Great work dear Mary,
