It is color slide film converted to black and white by my scanner, taking the colors and modifying them, and then turning to black and white. It's amazing by removing red in the scanning software the sky gets darker. I don't use a filter, I use the computer for a filter I guess... :-)

It is a nice shot, but is it an original picture or did you use filtering?

Mark, me again! Just to say we were on the front page yesterday in case you missed it! (This picture should be in an art gallery and you a millionaire is what I think- but this isn't bad!)

Excellent image and wow . . . what a sky. The mind goes from the demise of man to the afterlife in about a blink here with this composition. Perfect for the B&W format. That Mary Slade landed you two on the front page with her Featured Critique makes me feel very good about the FC feature here at UF . . . because it led me to this image of yours and I would likely have missed it otherwise. Very well done!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

I can't believe it- there is another little gravestone- I am so pleased you have the patience (as usual!) to explain things. Makes a difference. Wouldn't want to overlook a life. Thanks Mark.

I apologize Mary, it is an other gravestone, it's just lying flat.

Thanks Mark- I am very glad you got to be there for that moment too. It wasn't the gravestone, but the little tiny thing on the right hand corner by the flowers I wondered about. Like a book but maybe a stone. No matter, this should have all maximum awards everywhere!

Hi Mary, it is a gravestone, Im not sure but they do cycle thru the front page a fair amount, I am really glad you liked.

I am glad I got to be their for that moment. Texas can be really peacefully beautiful sometimes.

Mark, I don't get this- my comments went pronounced talking about your image, so I thought that meant you would me on front page- but can't see you! One day I'll get the hang of this system!!

Imageopolis Featured Photo Critique A stunning silence for me- never mind quiet moment! Mark this leaves me speechless. Whoever it is, you could not generate more thought. Time again to me on many levels. The farmer's field going in time- human life the same. Very Beckett. The effects could not be more perfect. (PS Is that a book/bible or stone next to the flowers?)
