Hi Peta - fine color and composition here -- three colors balancing each other nicely. Really good shot. - N

simple but strong! Expecially in the panoramic view!
looking at the title it seems to me that you have an important romantic or sentimental period....

Laughed at your 'not in real life remark' Phillip!! So funny! Anyway, thank you! Apologies for not posting much, I've been a little bored on UF to be honest lately. I'll get back into it :))

Such a beautiful view dear Peta. I prefer the crop with the waves. Excellent contrast of colours and mood setting.

Excellent!

Cheers!

Peta, good to see your posting again. I like the first version with the wave. It definitely adds to the "violent" theme for the ocean. The dark clouds seem to devour the boats (which seem to be in love). The pic rocks for sure. I would probably subject the pic for a little noise removal, except that, I see a good story in this frame. well done.

Great moody shot!! Super ominous sky, grey tones and then those tiny white boats... great view, excellent composition... well captured!!
As to which crop: well you know me... I looooooove to snipppppp away and my preference goes out to what's behind door number two... less is more... I do like the 'spray', but the 'cleaner' look does it for me... ;-D

Oh, Peta, firstly, nice to see another post from you!

I don't know which version to choose! :)) This one is great - I think the wave adds to the image, however, your other version is wonderful if you are trying to create a more minimalistic image! I like it both ways (not in real life! LOL ).

It really can be viewed as a very dramatic and threatening scene. The row of darker cloud, the greyness and the colour of the water all combine to create a very moody image! Well done!

Cheers

Phil
