Cathy, I will be honest and admit the background is a litle busy :)Though I like the way you gave me the option :) I would love to be able to acheive the same blur of colours that Giuseppe seems to acheive in his pictures. I think I will rename this photo "The Busy Garden" :)

Wow, love these colours! I like that the subject is a contrasting colour to the background. All of the flower is in focus and those water droplets are delightful.
If you were attempting to isolate this single specimen, then the background is a little busy. If you were trying to convey a sense of garden, this is an excellent result. cathy

I quite agree with your ranking. I continue to experiment but don't know how you acheive that increaduble blur of colour behind your work. Is that post work? or all acheived with the camera?

In the graduatory this rank in third position (on the podium anyway!) because I would prefer the background a bit more blurried (for my personal taste). Colors perfect and angle very studied.
