About I'll be darned if I'll call this "Bee". And I am fresh out of titles. But I traveled 500 miles to find a bee and a flower. What I won't do for a photo for UF.

Thanks Brigitte but I have to tell you, I've all but given up on Macro. You are right, it is much easier than it looks and there are people who put me to shame. My eyes just can't get it right.

Not to mention the slightest movement of the camera... and how you take a moving insect photo with a tripod is beyond me.

I definitely see the resemblance, though!

Best to you,
Dave

This is too wierd Dave... I just took a photo similar to yours today... freaked me out cause I was looking through your portfolio and I thought "What is my photo doing here? I didn't think I uploaded it!" haha... anyways here it is. I had actually just discovered that my little point-n-shoot has aperture priority so I was able to set it manually for a blurred background. This image is cropped quite a bit and the bee was hiding it's face... shy I suppose... haha.. not really, just busy collecting from my fragrant butterfly bush... hopefully I will get better at this - it's not as easy as it looks and one needs a lot of patience!

So you drove 500mi for this shot? Guess the bees are getting pretty scarce!

A very similar bee photo!

GR8 title! LOL
I always am clueless as to a title for the obvious. I have no suggestions either!

Nice macro, but wish the bee was more in focus.
But the blue flower is great!
VERY pretty overall colors,

Nice one, glad you finally got the bee and flower!

Lori :)

A lovely image, Dave! Wonderful colours!

Yes, it is a pity the bee is not as sharp as the flower. However, it's still an attention-grabbing image!

Cheers

Thanks, Riny. I sort of wish the focus had gone more to the bee instead of the forefront flower too. I'm still learning this macro stuff, myself.

Thanks, Nessa. Yes, 500 miles for a bee. Three miles to get milk. I can't be bothered with the milk thing either.

Great macro. Wonderful colors and details.
You are very patient. So many miles for a bee, but I think it was worth it.
Best regards. Justyna
