(No, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth!  ) Life has gotten really busy though so something had to give. I've been on a little hiatus from UseFilm, but certainly not photography.)
This is really pretty. I love the limited color palette and your angle is very nice. Good job.

This is an amazing perspective my sweet Shiela, so top marks for creative originality. I love the deep red tones to the underneath of this bloom and the lighter rich tones where the light penetrates the outer limits of the petals. And how about that sky!!!! Rich, intense, powerful and dramatic and the perfect contrasting backdrop for your gorgeous bloom. Well done to you sweetie for a most delightful floral study.
