Thanks John . . . There's little if any rain but LOTS of freak thunder and lightning for us . . . to be continued for the next three days according to the weather forecast. Makes it easier to photograph lightning......then again, it's easier to photograph lava if you get tossed into an active volcano! LoL! :P I appreciate the comment!

I'm certain it has nothing to do with anything like 'Global Warming' since our Washington elite tells us that doesn't exist....LoL! Thanks Mel . . . the heat continues here without the fires (though they continue too) . . . over 80 people have died from heat related issues . . . but WE are ok . . . and all we know personally are safe too. Better . . . they are predicting a break in the heat any time now. Stay well!

Wonderful words in your 'about' my friend. The only positive things that come out of these disasters is the spirit of the people as they attend to the aftermath.
This is a very strong and powerful composition tinged with the sadness of those natural events but is an excellent piece of journalistic photography. The fiery colours in the open sky look amazing set against the blackness that surrounds. I love the swell of the sea in this shot Doyle....well done to you my friend. Very best wishes.....Ray

great sky, great fiery sunset, nice idea. in my opinion, this photograph will be more powerfull with supporting object like boat or fisherman. otherwise this is a very moody seascape, i love it.
