Most excellent portrait! I came across this as I was looking for photos taken with the Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens. I just ordered one yesterday. I made many portraits like this one with my old Rolleiflex 6x6, but I could never get that shallow depth with the slow zoom that came with my Nikon D50.
Great work!

An excellent child portrait Larry with stunning lighting, a wonderful thoughtful expression, a brilliant conversion to a very soft sepia and the focus from your fast lens has produced a beautiful surrounding soft effect. I could be wrong but the dof effect looks like good lens work and little or no postwork. Well done to you my friend, this is first class. All the best....Ray
