Glad you liked this one Joel, thank you! I had a great weekend - rained hard most of the time so we were very lazy and hung out by the fire. I only managed to get a couple pics :(

Hi Peta!
....ahhh Port Douglas.... I wish I were there diving, and possibly catching a cane toad race ;)
I love this image! The color is so strong and natural... the brilliant contrast against the red helps pull every detail out of the yellow orchid core.
well done!
have a good weekend.
cheers, -joel

what a fantastic Image Peta. I could see this as a pattern for one of my Moms quilts. I Love the selective focus and details. Well done and presented. Hey, When you get back and you get a minute take a look at my Wifes images. I finally have gotten her to start using my 20D and posting her work. I am still trying to teach her how to use other modes other then Automatic. But I think she has a great eyee for composition. Let me know what you think.
All my best Regards
Sam III

Very abstract composition...The selective focus gives the petals a very soft and silky feel to them, that I could almost literally feel myself...Nice details and colors as well...What a great capture!!!

Very beautiful floral image Peta. Nearly perfect. I wish the frame went slightly to the left to capture all the "stamin" (is that the right word?) ;) I love the colors and lines. Have a good weekend!
