the color burning through the unfocused grass is wonderful drawing my eye right through the fore ground and yet later discovering the insect as i explore throughout your excellent image. Hope all is well my friend.
Cheers, tim

Now I understand. This is a great shot. Even better than I had originally thought. The grass is blurring the light as it comes through to give that effect of a barrier. Terrific.

I made this shot in the field full of long grass. The Sun was going down when I saw this crane fly (thanks!) illuminated by the rays of light; I took my tele lens, set it to 300mm and f4 and make the crane fly sharp; the deep of field was minimal and because of this the crane fly stayed sharp when the Sun and grass in the background were blurred; there wasn't any netting or any other material hanging down; regards, Lukasz

Hahaha. I just noticed the "mosquito" (actually a crane fly). I thought your title referred to a netting between you and the sun. Is there material hanging down, or is that some kind of effect?

Very nicely shot. The sun looks like a ball of plasma (um, like it really is). What were your camera settings? Was the netting moving?
