I love the earthy, gritty imperfectness, the lighting and tones, the off-centeredness - fantastic image, imo!

Pure magic and mood here... One of the finest BW florals I have seen, with perfect tones, composition and DOF... Atmosphere to the max... Just a stunning beauty, Michaelle. I love your work! Perfect 7's from me on this...

Very good use of soft focus to give a delicate feel to a flower and give the image some personality. Your composition in the photograph is well thought out with the center of the flower placed so as to conform to the rule of thirds. Like many other photos on this site, this one does not need the frame, which detracts from an otherwise strong image.

Excellent DOF. I really like the composition (C:6/7). The lighting is very good (L:5/7). I wish that the angle and/or illumination of the light were less so the posterior petal would have showed more texture (L:5/7). I cannot feel the spring though -- no colors or dynamic life. The flower is B&W and still(life). Overall:5/7

Beautiful soft image, but I really don't like what you did with the frame. It seems to distract from the pur simple beauty of the flower.

Wow the soft tones really work so well in this image. The detail is also marvellous. I like the decision to go B&W here because the tonality really stands out. Excellent work.
