Dave, super photography. Great timing too. You were meant to take it. Don's suggestion would have been a cracker, had you the time!
Took my son to see "Cars" the other day, and it's mostly set on Route 66. So it's wonderful to see a real scene from this famous place, not a computer generated one... fabulous.

Thanks, John (and the rest of you). Here I was set up in the middle of the street, intending to work on this building for the remainder of the evening. The 9:00 show started and within 5 minutes, they came out and changed the marquee and then promptly turned out the lights, ending my planned shoot. But I was very happy with what I did get.
I like this picture a lot, myself.

Oh yea Dave, one of my most favorite things in the whole wide world......the movie palace! This, my friend, is a grand shot! Your choice of monochrome really captures the essence of this theatre. Finely composed and a beautiful perspective. Very very well done.
