Hi Miles!
Great capture on this one! I never see them sitting still for me to get a good macro shot. This is a shot I've been longing to take.

Luis, if you stay still, and ideally lie down so you are not sihouetted against the sky to them, then let them come to you, you can get very close. This one was about a 12 inches, 30cm off the end of the lens...hence the extension tube fitted.

very sharp, I thought this dragonflies move very fast but I guess laying her eggs distracted her a bit to allow the time to set up. Anyway, the image is very nice with perfect exposure as well.
