About	Negotiating the narrow backstreets that start as soon as you leave any of the main roads through Tokyo is difficult to the shrines and the long lines of those who pull them along. Note the guys with long poles whose job it is to lift telephone lines and power cables over the top of the portable shrine!

i love these festivals - the pole guys are so important! i enjoy the juxtaposition of the traditional kimono and the western clothes. great shot!!
