I had considered cropping out that stuff at the bottom, but then stuck with the original composition.

There are alwasy so many variations to go with and sometimes I just don't know which way to go! LOL I agree, the square crop works nicely!

another very beautyfull shot: it seems to me like a sort of Fairy tales (i steal this word to Tori Amos)..
the two little man standing on the rocks in front of the sun...
everything its poetic..
this time i really feel that the square format would be much more better than others...

Magical image! Childhood can have such enchanting moments and you have captured this mood exquisitely. The foreground provides enough to detail for the viewer to enjoy exploring, but the subjects themselves are delightful. I love their hair! I like the hierarchy too, the oldest child got the highest perch. What a great story, looks like they are discovering the world.Cathy
