About Randolph Air Force Base has been used for pilot training since the 1940's, and the monument was erected in memory of the pilots missing and killed in Vietnam.

Later, the monument was re-dedicated to all pilots missing or killed.

This was shot on a cloudless spring morning on assignment for Bravo Magazine.
Circular polarizer used to deepen the sky.

really tells a story, beautiful lighting. The tree brings it all together for me. Back to the drawing board on the last one Thanks Paul.

Nope.
I'm semi-pro; I earn enough additional cash to pay for my habit, but I'm NewTek's software marketing manager by day.

The next issue of Bravo magazine is doing a spread on contemporary art structures around town, and they asked me to photograph about 14 locations around the city. Nice thing is....the whole spread is MINE.
;)
So, I'll humbly sit in the semi-pro section of the bus...for now.

What great comp.! I think this is really well seen Paul. So, do you make a living from photography? Call me an idiot but I didn't figure that out 'til just now.

Great Shot Paul...really like the composition with the planes in the foreground, trees in the middle and the tower rising behind. Has been a long time since seeing that. (I was in for 8 years & I remember Lackland all too well...LOL)

Paul, are you sure it's Lackland AFB, sure does look like the tower on Randolph AFB. Anyway, nice shot, the polarizer worker well and created a beautiful sky. You named this shot "The Taj," so I assume that you wanted to capture the tower. Well, because of the the angle/position of the shot, the monument at the front seems to "steal" the shot...IMHO.
Overall, nice shot...good work.

Nicely done, Paul! The polarizer created just the right amount of contrast and drama! I would probably straighten the slight vertical distortion on the building.
