Anna - Thanks. I have some good ideas for doing some b&w luxagraphic work but I have not yet embarked on that path. We shall see what the future holds.

For my friend from Turkey, a conversion...
Converted to greyscale, size reduced, brightness (-5) and contrast (+15) adjusted.

Well? |

Now that you mention it, they are a bit like the motions of a conductors hands and head leading the different sections of an ensemble.

Yes, many shots indeed. I am happy to be using digital now. I have a lot of Luxagraphic images to post and will post them one at a time. I have found many techniques that bring out various successful creations for differing kinds of lights and situations. I wll work to tell more in the notes for the whole portfolio at some point. Thanks for looking.

i have spent many rolls of film creating similar images...inspired by a usefilm friend who is no longer here...we called them 'lightpaintings' and made them moving the camera -randomly or not- during long exposures...i may not know your technique but i like the result... ;-) regards, kostas

This, like all of my images in my Luxagraphia Portfolio, is a single shot with no irregular PS manipulation. I have been working on different movement techniques for different kinds of light sources and situations. When the subject lights are at different depths or different locations altogether, this can help to create that non-linear effect.

nice catch James, I found myself almost hypnotized! in a possitive way of course. Q: is this a sandwich of several shots? i wondering how every different light source travel different paths?

Thank you. It's a challenge. Different kinds of light or lighting require different kinds of movements to bring something interesting into being.
